Marta
Ann Trent, age 37, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois died Wednesday,
December 21, 1994 in her home. Funeral services were held at 10:00 Tuesday,
December 27, 1994 in Mt. Carroll Church of God with the Reverend Eddie Hammond
and Reverend William Blomberg officiating. Cremation followed. Visitation was
from 7-9:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 1994 in the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home
in Mt. Carroll.
Marta was born Wednesday, October 9, 1957 in Savanna, Illinois
to Jerome and Rosemary (Hartman) Timm. She married James D. Trent in Fort Reno,
Oklahoma on May 23, 1981. Marta was a graduate from the Mt. Carroll High School
with the Class or 1975. She received her Bachelor or Science Degree in Biology
in 1979 from Illinois State University, her teaching certificate from Oklahoma
City University and her Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science at the
University or Oklahoma. Marta was a very gifted artist. She was a schoolteacher
in the Mt. Carroll School System.
Marta was a member of God's Family. She was a supporter of
Christian Children's Fund, and a member or the Nature Conservancy Association.
She helped start the Cancer Support Group at the Mt. Carroll Church or God.
Marta was a member or the Mt. Carroll Doer and Donors.
Marta enjoyed sculpting sea animals and she was well known
around Reno, Nevada for her work. She enjoyed watching nature. Her greatest joy
was to be a great mother and wife.
Marta is survived by her husband, James; three daughters,
Emily Trent, Anna Trent, and Cindy Trent, all at home; her mother and father,
Jerome and Rosemary Timm of Mt. Carroll; four brothers, Mathew (Deana) Timm of
Peoria, Mitchell (Rhonda) Timm, Tony (Elizabeth) Timm and Bill (Teri) Timm, all
of Mt. Carroll.

Margaret
Nester, 63, of 201 S. East St., Mount Carroll, died Wednesday,
Nov. 30, 1994 in her sleep at home. The Mount Carroll Ambulance took her to
Freeport Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
She taught for 31 years in the Mount Carroll School system,
retiring in 1994, and had taught previously in Ashton and Tiskilwa. She was a
member of Sts. John and Catherine Catholic Church in Mount Carroll, the Illinois
Education Association and National Education Association, the Mount Carroll
Library Board, Mount Carroll Education Association and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority.
She was a 1949 graduate of Rock Falls High School and a 1953
graduate of Western Illinois University. She loved to play bridge and read. Mrs.
Nester was born Jan. 7, 1931 in Hurtsville, Iowa, to Perle and Marie (Henry)
Martin. She married Frank Nester June 5, 1954.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Rod
(Deborah) Dearth of Valrico, FL; two sons, Michael (Kristi) Nester of Savanna
and Patrick Nester of Mount Carroll; two grandchildren and other relatives.
